I totally second the idea of server options to configure the weapons / invulns / cloaks that spawn, or are allowed.

Perhaps an optional behaviour that changes invuln into a "health keg" style item and boosts your shields to 200 regardless of their current charge.

Yep, I agree - invulnerability is fine for singleplayer but a bit cheesy in a multiplayer environment with only two or three folks on.

Slightly offtopic but sort of related - perhaps add some mechanic where the invuln spawns at a random location in the map rather than at fixed points?

I don't think that would be something to worry about - if it looked like this might become a problem though you could always reduce the AB capacitor size or charge rate slightly to encourage people to use the AB more tactically.
