[not in PG] Auto-Align Ship

Post by andrefish » 06 Nov 2015, 01:38

Hi,

Would it be possible to have a button that auto-aligns your ship to the nearest "ground"? Q and E work well, but sometimes (for us noobs) it would be helpful to have a button that auto-aligns.

Is there also a controller for turning around quickly?

Thanks!

I wouldn't use this option but it's a really good option for newbies :)
I remember at first I couldn't live without it lol (literally).

Please add Ship-autoleveling! -i think descent 2 already implemented this- please, its important for those who dont play with joystick ( me = mouse and keyb. ) - the auto leveling makes dogfights more fun caus there is less stress on the player correcting the flightpath ( spiraling while flying backwards )

It'd have to be an option you could turn off though - I'm sure any veteran would tell you not to mess with their orientation outside their control.

I fully agree. Especially getting back into the game. Perhaps afterwards we are consider differing levels of auto aligning, where players will slowly ween off of it.
