Hey everyone,

I'd like to dedicate one of you joystick testers to work with me over a few days where I push new builds to you with possible fixes to this axis problem, and you test those fixes on your hardware. This will be much faster than putting up new builds for all testers and hoping for the best. If anyone is willing, PM me.

I have this issue with my Logitech Extreme 3D Pro. To get the game to bind for pitch and yaw you have to hold the joystick in the position you want to bind, e.g. push the stick forward and while holding it forward click the pitch bind box. That should put the correct bind in the box.

edit:

I should mention the game seems to see the stick as I had no trouble binding buttons or my hat switch. It was only pitch and yaw I had trouble with, but I managed to get it working as I said above.

Can confirm the new patch is NOT fixing the problem. Right x and y are both on constant input, (I tried preset bindings to test right-y). The game does not seem to recognize the z roll or thrust slider.

That's odd isn't it.

In my case it is not possible to assign any axis anything but RightX with the joystick.
This is because the game automatically chooses RightX and completes the selection.
The function constantly and automatically selects itself without any input.

I'm keen to help test this out.

Okay, found a temporary fix. The http://www.x360ce.com/ wrapper makes the roll work as supposed. The game doesn't recognise throttle, which is not a problem for me, but maybe for someone?
Setting the right axis and removing the wrapper will make the game not recognise the axis again, so I have to use the wrapper to play the game.

Saitek X52 isn't recognized either. Not even rudder pedals.

Speaking of which, multiple controller support might be something to look into after we smash the joystick problems.

If you hold your joystick in the direction of the axis you are trying to map (for example forward for pitch) and then click on the binding, it will register the correct axis.

The game doesn't allow for that, currently, as above.
Clicking to set up any axis auto selects RightX and finishes.
It's ok, it's being looked into.

Your joystick does not support XInput. You need an XInput wrapper for your device (see above). Also, a wrapper will allow you to use an array of multiple devices.
