When being shot by someone, onscreen damage

Postby Hakdog » 05 Nov 2015, 12:23

When being shot at, get damage blocks appearing all over screen, just like to open discussion on this:

Personally, I'd prefer if the damage blocks appeared only on the left and right of the screen (or even some static charge/lightning type effect on border of screen), this is bearing in mind how quick paced the carnage can become.

BTW, that beta invite video is terrific. Great job guys and looking forward to more vids :D

The blocks do appear only on the left and right of the screen. We changed the original style to this after a Ranger test.

Maybe you were looking at an old video?

Oh really? Got you, I guess the blocks must have been altered after the beta invite video was put together, as that video shows them covering a large percentage of the screen ;-)

Thanks for the info.

(to confirm: referring to blocks during gameplay obscuring view, not when you die obviously as that looks cool).

I am *very* certain I made no changes to those blocks. But I will play the game and pay attention to them; maybe something was accidentally reverted.
